About the role

David’s Bridal is seeking talented Alterations Customer Service Representatives to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the Alterations department, you will be instrumental in growing our Alterations business to be 25% of our top line sales in the next 2-4 years. You will provide an exceptional customer experience, promote all alterations services, and build long-term relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome all customers with genuine enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats, and in person.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, adapt to suit customers by problem-solving, and resolve conflicts.
  • Manage customer flow using all systems to deliver a five-star customer experience.
  • Meet all service vows including preparing, welcoming, meeting needs, and being there for all customers.
  • Proactively address customer concerns with confidence and escalate appropriately.
  • Promote alterations services and personalization options to enhance customer experiences.
  • Maintain store standards, including cleanliness, organization, promotional readiness, and store recovery.
  • Maintain high dress code standards as required by the Dress Code policy.
  • Greet and escort alterations customers to and from appointments.
  • Press, steam, and spot clean all merchandise according to quality control guidelines.
  • Build long-term relationships to meet and exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Support inventory management by processing special orders, pick-ups, and adhering to first quality standards.
  • Support cash wrap behaviors and processes transactions accurately to ensure every customer feels celebrated.
  • Seek assistance from the Alterations Manager to address customer issues that cannot be resolved.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized alterations room.
  • Perform duties and tasks as assigned by store management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree.
  • 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
  • Prior sewing experience is helpful.
  • Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is beneficial.
