About the role
The Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a crucial part in the Alterations department, contributing to an exceptional customer service experience. This role involves managing customer flow, addressing concerns, promoting services, and maintaining a clean, organized environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and service customers over the phone, virtual chats, and in person, using clear communication and problem-solving skills.
- Manage customer flow to ensure a smooth and efficient service experience.
- Resolve customer concerns with confidence and escalate issues as necessary.
- Promote alterations services and personalization options to customers.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the alterations area.
- Perform duties as assigned by the store manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
- Prior sewing experience is helpful.
- Experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple customer interactions simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks like lifting and moving merchandise.
