About the role

The Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a crucial part in the Alterations department, contributing to delivering top-notch customer service. This role requires a friendly and enthusiastic demeanor, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and service customers over the phone, virtual chats, and in person, ensuring clear and concise interactions.
  • Manage customer flow using all necessary systems to provide a five-star customer experience.
  • Meet service vows including preparing, welcoming, meeting needs, and being there for customers, adhering to all operational checklists.
  • Proactively address customer concerns with confidence, escalating issues as necessary and partnering with leadership.
  • Promote alterations services and personalization options, building long-term relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Support inventory management by processing special orders, pick-ups, and adhering to first-quality standards.
  • Participate in cash wrap behaviors and ensure accurate transaction processing.
  • Seek assistance from the Alterations Manager for unresolved customer issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized alterations room, performing assigned duties and tasks.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent degree.
  • 1-2 years of prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
  • Prior sewing experience is helpful.
  • Experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) systems is beneficial.

  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks like pressing and steaming garments.
