About the role
The Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a crucial part in the Alterations department, contributing to a superior customer service experience. This role requires a mix of customer interaction, inventory management, and physical labor.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and service customers over the phone, virtual chats, and in person, using clear communication and problem-solving skills.
- Manage customer flow to ensure a smooth and efficient service experience.
- Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues as necessary, working collaboratively with leadership.
- Promote alterations services and personalization options, building long-term relationships with customers.
- Support inventory management by processing special orders, pick-ups, and adhering to first-quality standards.
- Perform cash wrap duties with accuracy, ensuring every customer feels valued.
- Assist with addressing customer issues beyond one's capabilities, and maintain a clean and organized alterations area.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent degree.
- 1-2 years of prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
- Prior sewing experience is helpful.
- Experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) systems is advantageous.

- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks like pressing and steaming garments.
