ALLROUND LOGISTIEK MEDEWERKER

About the role

As a Warehouse Worker in Name & Logistics, you are daily active on our premises and play an important role in the processing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Your responsibilities include:

• Guiding private customers with loading and unloading of metals such as copper, aluminum, and RVS.
• Self-loading, unloading, and moving materials using the forklift.
• Verifying and correctly passing weighbridge documents and data to the front office.
• Assisting with the unloading of commercial shipments so they can be sampled and sorted.
• Packing and sorting metals for further processing on-site.
• Reporting deviations in loads and communicating these to colleagues.
• Executing small daily maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
• Maintaining order, tidiness, and safety on the site; your work area is always organized and tidy.
• Where necessary, assist colleagues and they assist you—working together, you ensure that the work is done efficiently and effectively. You are one of Helmond Metalen's ambassadors: you communicate clearly and respectfully with both customers and colleagues on-site and at the office.
• In this role, you are a true problem-solver who enjoys a variety of tasks. One moment you might be sorting metals, helping customers, cutting parts with snippers, and the next moment you are engaged in maintenance and repairs on machines and containers (lifting).
• Occasionally, you are also involved in demolition projects outside the premises and go on site with Visser Demontage to dismantle or replace technical installations somewhere in the country.

Requirements

• Experience in logistics, fieldwork, industry, or recycling (preference)
• A completed MBO education (technical direction) preference
• A forklift certificate or willingness to obtain one
• Fluency in the Dutch language
• An affinity with metal, logistics, or a production environment
