Allied World Europe launches UK commercial division

Allied World Assurance Company Holdings, based in Switzerland, operates globally as the insurer and reinsurer Allied World. The company has launched a new UK commercial division, offering products such as commercial combined, property owners, contractors all risks, and combined liability. Businesses can purchase a single product or combine different coverages to meet their specific needs.

About the Role

This new division is led by Darren Rowe, who has been named Vice President and Head of the UK commercial division. Rowe brings 28 years of experience in the insurance industry, having held senior positions in several international broking houses. He joins Allied World Europe from Arthur J. Gallagher & Co (AJG), where he most recently served as a Client and Markets Director in the market management team. Prior to this, he led broking and placement for the UK retail division at AJG.

Rowe will collaborate with Alan Thorne, Vice President and UK Sales and Underwriting Manager, and Dawn Zacharow, Vice President and UK Underwriting Manager.
