Allen Plant - Occupational Nurse

Job Responsibilities

• Onboarding - Screen new hires/temps for drug screen, medical history review, vital signs, audiometric exam, pulmonary function exam, hearing conservation and respirator education.
• Return to Work - Perform RTW physicals, including urine drug screen and review of fit for duty forms.
• Occupational Surveillance - Conduct all occupational surveillance testing and maintain associate records.
• Pulmonary - Coordinate referrals to pulmonologists and address medical surveillance results.
• Industrial Hygiene - Address workplace hazards and concerns, schedule Industrial Hygiene visits, and teach bloodborne pathogens annually.
• Mandatory Testing - Adjust work schedule for mandatory testing and provide case management for work-related injuries.
• Plant Safety - Serve as a Plant Safety Leader, assess injuries, and monitor training records for first responders.
• Emergency Medical Response - Teach CPR/First Aid/AED, schedule EMR training, and provide BLS refresher training.
• First Aid Audits - Delegate audits of first aid cabinets and AED units to first aid and EMR trained associates.
• Other Audits - Liaison for OSHA, Environmental, Safety Audits, and promote health and wellness events.
• Healthcare Providers - Schedule mobile mammography and work with health care providers to serve associates' needs.
• Process Safety - Collaborate with the Medical Director to develop and maintain Medical Directives and Standard Practice Instructions.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license with multistate compact privileges.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (AND) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Ability to read and prepare various documents and reports.
• Communicate and interact effectively with others.
• Proficient in PC hardware, operating systems, application software, electronic medical record system, and Microsoft Office.
• Able to work independently and handle customer visits.
• Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, moving, lifting, ascending/descending, bending, visual acuity, cognitive ability, and physical strength as described.
