Roles and Responsibilities

  • Aligns wheels, axles, frames, torsion bars, and steering mechanisms of automotive vehicles using alignment equipment and manufacturer specifications.
  • Drives vehicles onto alignment racks and conducts tests to identify issues such as faulty alignments, bent axles, worn ball joints, and damaged steering components.
  • Performs necessary repair and adjustment work based on diagnostic findings.
  • Mounts and dismounts tires; balances wheels using a balancing machine and installs counterweights to ensure smooth operation.
  • Conducts miscellaneous diagnostic and service work, including state inspections, installation of shock absorbers, lubrication services, and basic tune-ups.
  • Straights vehicle frames using hydraulic jacks, chassis aligners, and acetylene torches as needed.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment and adheres to all company and safety standards.

Experience and Education

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Alignment Technician; or successful completion of an applicable post-secondary vocational or technical program in automotive repair or alignment.
  • Proficient with automotive repair tools and equipment, including wheel alignment racks, tire changers, wheel balancers, hydraulic jacks, and basic welding and testing tools.
  • Valid Drivers’ Licenses
