About the Role
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing a well-stocked and well-maintained department while delivering superior customer service. This role involves stocking, rotating products, maintaining department standards, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.
Responsibilities
- Stock and rotate items as needed to maintain product freshness and availability.
- Assist with inventory control, including loading, unloading, and moving product.
- Organize, clean, and prepare the back area for the night crew and incoming trucks.
- Organize merchandise on pallets to ensure the department is presentable to the public.
- Maintain the integrity of shelf tags and signage; create or prepare signage as needed.
- Uphold standards in shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitation.
- Inspect shipments for out-of-date or damaged products to ensure quality.
- Build, stock, maintain, and dismantle store displays.
- Provide superior customer service by answering questions and assisting with product selection.
- Help customers locate store merchandise.
- Merchandise products effectively and use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales.
- Clean and sanitize sales floors, display cases, prep areas, and equipment.
- Properly handle and maintain the operation of all equipment.
- Comply with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Beauty: Requires knowledge of beauty and cosmetic aids.
- Drugstore / General Merchandise: Prepare tags and signs as needed.
- Grocery: Organize, clean, and prepare the back area for the night crew and incoming trucks; prepare tags and signs as needed.
- Texas Backyard: Passion for the outdoors; ability to complete Green Thumb training (H-E-B internal training).
- Entertainment: Knowledge in the audio/video field, including specialty products, movies, music, electronics, and video games.
Requirements
- 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
- Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training upon hire.

This role functions in a fast-paced, retail environment with detailed and precise tasks. You will work closely with customers and perform the following physical activities based on your department:
