About the role

Candidates must be U.S. citizens able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense security clearance as a condition and continuation of employment.

Responsibilities

• Generate software design artifacts and implement Java-based software changes.
• Support design and code reviews.
• Participate in software testing and resolve issues identified during testing.
• Present developed designs to stakeholders.
• Actively participate in agile planning and execution.
• Work with multiple disciplinary teams, including Systems Engineering, Integration and Test, and Deployment.

Requirements

• Experience: 1+ years of related experience.
• Technical Skills: Experience in full life-cycle development, Java application development or alternate object-oriented development experience, familiarity with Unix/Linux environments, experience with software implementation of mathematical algorithms, basic experience in the design and development of complex mathematical algorithms, experience with problem-solving, including the ability to review system behavior issues, identify the root cause, and recommend a solution.
• General Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of developing software within an agile development process, including work decomposition and leadership during sprint planning.
• Experience developing software and/or algorithms in a structured, process-based integrated team environment.
• Knowledge of developing software within a DEVSECOPS framework for Java-based applications in a Unix/Linux platform environment.
• Additional experience with MATLAB.
