About the role
We'll count on you to:
- Staff Development
- Recruit, select, train, develop, and manage technical personnel.
- Manage and develop multidisciplinary teams.
- Supervise senior engineers and business class leaders (assumed in the 2-8 person range).
- Technical Excellence
- Participate in delivery of project services through planning, design, and construction phases to meet client expectations, including project management.
- Function as a project manager and lead critical area and regional projects.
- Support development of technical experts.
- Participate in business class practice and professional discipline groups, project teams and activities to continually improve standards and best practices, and implement effective quality assurance and quality control reviews.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews where appropriate, or assist technical teams in finding appropriate reviewers.
- Operations Leadership
- Implement, monitor, and support company policy.
- Take responsibility for operations including utilization, morale, quality control and marketing support.
- Take administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections.
- Lead and coordinate services with other sections.
- Collaborate on business class efforts with area operations, marketing, project managers, and project delivery staff.

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years water resources leadership experience including staff supervisory experience
- Professional registration or license
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Good leadership and organizational skills
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, planning or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years of industry experience
- Experienced in development and management of strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering services
- Experienced in development and management of a wide range of client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuits
- Experienced in overall staff development to include recruiting, career path and professional growth
- Experienced with industry associations and maintains a visible profile in the market sector
- Demonstrated commitment to HDR values
