About the Role

The Client Engagement Supervisor plays a pivotal role in cultivating luxury guest experiences. This position supports the store by elevating client relationships, guiding the sales team in refined clienteling practices, and ensuring seamless execution of all client-facing touchpoints. With a focus on cultivating long-term loyalty, the Client Engagement Supervisor leads by example, bringing deep product knowledge, an elevated communication style, and a passion for building personal connections. This role partners closely with Store Leadership to drive client development, deliver exceptional service, and uphold the elevated standards synonymous with both Alaia and the Fontainebleau.

Responsibilities

  • Elevate the client journey by ensuring every interaction reflects the brand’s heritage, craftsmanship, and service standards
  • Lead by example on the sales floor, modeling refined communication, relationship building, and anticipatory service
  • Ensure all team members consistently deliver elevated client relationships and meet brand expectations for luxury presentation, tone, and behavior
  • Assist in the execution of client outreach strategies, ensuring consistent touchpoints aligned with brand cadence (new collections, private appointments, events, gifting moments)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier clientele; support the team in developing personalized plans for VIC growth and retention
  • Assist with monitoring client activity (visits, open opportunities, special orders) and mentor team members to maximize client lifetime spend
  • Identify opportunities to elevate service during appointments, fittings, and special client requests
  • Ensure accurate and timely client data is captured with the highest standards of privacy, detail, and property compliance
  • In partnership with store management, analyze client behavior patterns, top spenders, and underpenetrated categories to drive targeted selling strategies
  • Support event planning, VIC activations, and collection previews, ensuring flawless client experience and follow-through
  • Ensure accurate follow-up on repairs, transfers, personalized orders, and after-sales communication
  • Opening and closing of the store
  • Training and mentoring client engagement practices and hosting training sessions
  • Coaching and developing the team to drive client engagement results

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in luxury retail or hospitality, with a strong background in client development
  • Demonstrated success building long-term client relationships and driving sales through personalized service
  • Proficiency with clienteling tools, CRM systems, and digital outreach platforms
  • Solid foundation and experience with retail operations concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Proactive, ability to work independently and as part of a team with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to perform basic/intermediate math skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and timeliness in completion of projects
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written communication skills in English may also be required
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Pay

$30.00 per hour. This position offers commission-based incentives for sales generated from guest transactions.
