AL/MC Nurse Manager

About the role

Cypress Village is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Nurse Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents and delegating and supervising the care and services provided by Licensed Nurses and Quality of Life Specialists. The AL/MC Manager is an LPN who oversees overall nursing care and service on their shift, including accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls.

Responsibilities

• Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on assigned shift.
• Administers direct care as necessary, including medications, treatments, and procedures.
• Gives and receives shift reports.
• Rounds twice per shift to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
• Keeps physicians and families informed of changes in residents’ conditions.
• Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.
• Obtains specimens as needed and completes required documentation.

Requirements

• Current LPN license in the state.
• At least 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption is required as a condition of employment.
• Vaccination status for MMR, chicken pox, hepatitis, flu, and COVID-19 may be required for certain roles.
