About the role
This high-level technical role supports USSOCOM NetOps and global ISR transport operations (24x7x365), providing Tier 4 network architecture support in accordance with the SIE OPORD.
- Network architecture design, upgrades, and optimization
- Advanced troubleshooting and system enhancements
- Backup, version control, and cyber defense integration
- Cost optimization and performance improvement
- Provide connectivity to USSOCOM and Dept of War between multiple OCONUS media ports to two data centers (US/Washington DC Area and EU/NATO nations) to deliver multi-cast video from various manned/unmanned sources
- StarShield integration
- Experience with Cisco Next-Generation firewalls (SFMC/FTD)
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI
- DoD 8570 IAT II
- Cisco CCIE certification OR two Cisco CCNP certifications, including CCNP Data Center. Candidates without a CCIE must obtain a third CCNP certification within 10 weeks of hire
- Deep LAN/WAN experience (EIGRP, BGP, MPLS)
- Advanced multicast design and troubleshooting (PIM, IGMP)
- 12-16+ years experience depending on degree
- Experience with WAN/Layer 2, Multicast, and ideally SDWAN
- 25% travel will be required to OCONUS locations (primarily EU especially Amsterdam)
