About the role

Aisles Online Produce Shoppers play a crucial role in ensuring that customers receive high-quality produce and groceries delivered efficiently. They are part of the Aisles Online team at Hy-Vee, a company dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by greeting customers and addressing their needs.
• Secures products that are out of reach and assists customers in finding what they need.
• Loads or unloads heavy items and makes note of and passes along customer suggestions or requests.
• Answers the telephone and emails promptly, offering friendly and helpful service to customers.
• Selects, scans, and bags items from all temperature zones, tendering customer orders through POS, and charging the customer's credit card.
• Places gathered orders in storage at proper temperature and retrieves them promptly before the customer arrives.
• Continually monitors incoming online orders to ensure prompt, on-time fulfillment.
• Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and interact with people in a friendly, professional manner.
• Ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and substitute products for customers upon request.
• Well-organized, able to multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and complete daily workload with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Physical requirements include visual acuity, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks such as stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
• The position may be exposed to dust, noise, and temperature extremes, and there are possible hazards from moving equipment and electrical shocks.
• The work environment is fast-paced and involves constant pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a day.

Skills

• Customer-focused and results-oriented.
• Proficient in using various equipment such as pallet jacks, box cutters, cash registers, and other tools necessary for the job.

Pay

The anticipated hourly starting wage for this position is $13.50 to $16.80 depending on experience.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with varying hours to accommodate the needs of the online shopping department.
