About the role
Aisles Online Clerk at Hy-Vee is responsible for providing excellent customer service and handling various tasks to support online shoppers.
Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service
- Greets customers and addresses them by name
- Secures and loads/unloads heavy items
- Passes along customer suggestions or requests
- Answers the telephone and provides friendly, helpful service
- Selects, scans, and bags items from all temperature zones
- Tenders customer orders through POS and charges credit cards
- Places orders in storage and retrieves them promptly
- Places orders in holding area for pick-up
- Adheres to company policies and store guidelines
- Reports to work on time and as scheduled
Secondary Duties
- Lifts, carries, and loads groceries into customer vehicles
- Maintains order of incoming online orders
- Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to perform medium work including occasional lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent lifting up to 25 pounds
- Physical abilities to stoop, kneel, reach, handle, grasp, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions
- Knowledge of visual requirements including the ability to see detail at near range with or without correction
- Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment

Pay
The anticipated hourly starting wage for this position is $11.41 to $14.00 depending on experience.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with hours to be determined based on the needs of the store.
