Airship Crew
About the role
You will play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of the Goodyear Blimp while traveling nationwide. You will contribute to all aspects of airship operations, including ground handling, launches, and landings. This position also serves as a brand ambassador role, ensuring a positive experience during public and customer interactions.
Responsibilities
- Work with the blimp team to ensure smooth and efficient airship operations at the base and on the road (up to 120 days/year).
- Aid with launches, landings, and pressure watches, maintaining safe mooring conditions and airship integrity, including overnight shifts in all weather conditions.
- Safely handle the airship and passengers, operating ground service equipment such as buses, trucks, and trailers as needed.
- Represent Goodyear and Airship Operations professionally during public and media interactions.
- Perform maintenance and janitorial tasks as directed by the Manager of Ground Crew Operations or Assistant Crew Chief.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Previous aviation experience and commercial driving experience
