Airport Security Officer: Part Time Security Operations

About the role

As an Airport Security Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in government transportation locations. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to travelers, visitors, and staff. This part-time position offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you through our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, airport personnel, visitors, and other stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established airport and government location protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned airport areas, including terminals, parking areas, access points, perimeter locations, and other designated spaces.
• Monitor access to restricted or controlled areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized activity or suspicious conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with supervisors, airport operations personnel, and emergency responders regarding incidents and security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license (required for driving positions only).
• 1+ years of security experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening according to DOT Pass and ID office standards.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Pay

$25.25 / hour

Schedule

• Friday: 11:30 PM – 8:00 AM
• Sunday: 11:30 PM – 8:00 AM
