Airport Ramp Agent - Kahului - Part-Time (5k Sign-On Bonus)
About the role
The Ramp Agent is responsible for loading and offloading baggage, ensuring guest safety and well-being, and performing various duties related to aircraft operations.
Responsibilities
- Loading, stowing, and unloading of all cargo and baggage in accordance with flight loading plans.
- Pick-up and delivery of all cargo, including mail, express, baggage, freight, and company materials.
- Preparation, reporting, and accounting of necessary documents relating to work performed.
- Cleaning of aircraft baggage pits and immediate work areas.
- Operation of automotive equipment in connection with the above duties, and receiving and dispatching aircraft when mechanical personnel are not immediately available.
- May also perform duties of Cleaners, including cleaning of offices in surrounding areas and aircraft.
Requirements
- Willing and able to work outside in the elements.
- Able to lift 70lbs. throughout the shift.
- Able to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp.
- Able to work in confined spaces on knees/elbows, lifting baggage overhead frequently (weighing 70+ lbs.), operating heavy machinery near the aircraft, driving tugs, and more.
- Valid unexpired driver’s license issued by a US state, US territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Flexible to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification.
- Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Qualifications
- Airport ramp experience preferred.
- Physical labor experience and/or working in a warehouse environment preferred.
Skills
- Ability to lift 70lbs.
- Ability to operate automotive equipment.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift baggage overhead.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery near the aircraft.
- Ability to drive tugs.

Pay
- Starting Rate: USD $19.82/Hr.
- Sign-On Bonus available to external candidates only: - $2,500 paid out at 60 days - $2,500 paid out at 6 months
