Airport Lounge Cleaner - Part-Time

Job Summary

The Cleaner performs a full range of cleaning duties and responsibilities in support of the lounge operations at The Club lounge opening in the Grand Rapids Gerald R. Ford International Airport. Works to ensure lounge specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Sees that lounge and facilities are cleaned and maintained to ensure guest satisfaction and compliance with sanitation regulations.

Primary Job Duties

• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, break rooms.
• Aid with clearing tables of dirty dishes and cleaning tables.
• Restock beverage stations.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaner and/or shampooers.
• Empties wastebaskets and recyclables and transport to designated disposal areas within and outside of the lounge.
• Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors in restrooms.
• Replenish restroom supplies, polish metalwork including fixtures and fittings.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Notifies supervisor concerning any need for any maintenance repairs or additions observed.
• Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, equipment, and partitions.
• Clean dishware, scrub pots, pans, and kitchen utensils, and load and unload dishwashing machine.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the housekeeping/janitorial field.
• Ability to maintain a presentable and polished appearance in keeping with service standards in a best-in-class environment.
• Ability to stand during entire scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift and / or move up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to walk, bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
• Ability to report on work on a regular and timely basis.
• Able to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to pass and obtain security background check and clearance to work in airport environment.
