About the role
This is a full-time position located at 5757 Wayne Newton Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119 (Terminal One, pre-security). Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Primary Care and Preventive Services
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions across the lifespan.
- Perform Annual Wellness Visits (AWVs), preventive screenings, and routine physical examinations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for chronic disease management.
- Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic test results.
- Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and ancillary services when clinically appropriate.
- Educate patients on preventive care, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Walk-In Services
- Evaluate and manage walk-in patients with non-emergent illnesses and injuries.
- Provide timely assessment and treatment of minor acute conditions.
- Perform minor office procedures within scope of practice.
- Determine when escalation to emergency services or specialty care is necessary.
- Stabilize patients requiring a higher level of care prior to transfer.
- Occupational Medicine and Employer Health
- Conduct pre-employment, return-to-work, fit-for-duty, DOT, FAA (if certified), respiratory clearance, and other occupational physical examinations.
- Perform workplace injury assessments and develop return-to-work recommendations.
- Complete employer-required medical documentation accurately and timely.
- Administer drug and alcohol screenings in accordance with employer and regulatory requirements.
- Support employer wellness initiatives and occupational health programs.
- Collaboration and Patient Experience
- Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, front office staff, operations, and employer partners to coordinate patient care.
- Deliver compassionate, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered care.
- Foster positive relationships with patients, employers, and community partners.
- Participate in clinic meetings, workflow improvements, and operational initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Graduate of an accredited Advanced Practice Provider program.
- Active and unrestricted Nevada Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.
- Current DEA registration and Nevada controlled substance license (if applicable).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- DOT Medical Examiner Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- FAA Aviation Medical Examiner certification is a plus, when applicable.
Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in Primary Care, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Occupational Medicine preferred.
- Experience managing acute and chronic medical conditions in an outpatient setting.
- Experience with Workers' Compensation and occupational medicine preferred.
- Experience performing employer physical examinations preferred.
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR), preferably eClinicalWorks and/or Elation.
Pay
The national target pay range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
