General Purpose Of Job
This position is responsible for providing comprehensive customer service to all individuals seeking to use customer or charter services by being attentive to their needs, promptly addressing their inquiries, and completing the required transactions as outlined below.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Processes customer tickets, checking baggage, monitoring carry-on baggage for size and quantity, and assigning seats
- Provides information on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, carry-on regulations, and seating arrangements
- Handles denied boarding situations, soliciting volunteers, accommodating Customers, and providing hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when appropriate
- Ensures FAA, Airline, and airport regulations are followed
- Enforces safety/security measures and protects sensitive zones
- Affords assistance to Customers with special needs, i.e., Customers who need assistance in boarding
- Begins bringing Wheelchair passengers from the ticket counter to the gates and from the gates to the baggage service
- Communicates effectively in English; bilingual skills a plus
- Works efficiently under time constraints
- Available to work varied hours, including swing and graveyard shifts, plus weekends and holidays
- Completely clean and search an aircraft
- Performs other duties as assigned
