Job Summary
Principal Duties/Responsibilities
- Work from blueprints, sketches, diagrams, CATIA models, or verbal instructions.
- Perform calculations for angles, circumference, diameter, and bend allowances, using shop math to fabricate and/or install complete or major assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Modify completed assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Perform check of fabricated items and/or checkout of systems installed.
- Utilize aircraft tooling to perform precision sheet metal operations and installations.
- Install interior shell panels and complete various interior operations.
- Set up and operate standard shop equipment.
- Recommend and suggest improved production methods.
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and Company Safety procedures.
- Clean work area and aircraft to eliminate and control FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
- Make proper entries in Production and Planning Logs and document all work in computerized system.
- Complete assigned jobs in prescribed time.
- Conceive, manufacture, and adapt installation tools to improve repetitiveness and work hours.
- Protect aircraft components.
- Practice continuous improvements and propose process improvements.
- Able to complete rework in assigned work area.
- Not only main cabin zones but cockpit and/or baggage.
- Experience applying adhesive materials.
- Experience with material shaping and forming.
- Experience using air tools and equipment.
Non-principal Duties/Responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two (2) years of aircraft manufacturing experience with courses in sheet metal services from a technical school / military or three (3) years of aircraft manufacturing / production experience to substitute for the sheet metal course requirement.
- Able to work from drawings, sketches, pictures, or verbal specifications.
- Able to use calibrated tools, measuring devices, and set up and operate standard shop equipment.
- Able to drill per defined tolerances.
- Able to enter or exit aircraft work stands in a safe manner.
- Able to work from adjustable height stands in a safe manner and be able to climb steps to approximately 25 feet in height, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Able to use motorized portable personnel lifts that extend up to 25 feet in height.
- Able to lift and carry 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Experience applying adhesive materials.
- Experience with material shaping and forming.
- Experience using air tools and equipment.
Compensation And Benefits
- The compensation for this position typically falls between $27.00 and $31.00 per hour.
- This position is eligible for overtime.
- This position may be eligible for shift differential.
- Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
