About the role

The A&P Mechanic at Skyryse will support all aircraft maintenance operations based out of our Hawthorne, CA facility. They will serve as the subject matter expert on our rotary-wing—specifically the R66 and/or R44—and experimental aircraft. The ideal candidate will ensure all maintenance follows FAA compliance guidelines and regulations. This is a contract role.

Responsibilities

  • Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on rotorcraft and experimental aircraft.
  • Conduct detailed inspections and verifications of aircraft systems to confirm compliance with all safety, regulatory, and operational standards prior to flight.
  • Maintain documentation and proper record keeping of repairs, maintenance, inspections, reports, and other items related to aircraft maintenance.
  • Interpret and apply maintenance manuals, engineering specifications, and technical data to perform precise repairs and component replacements.
  • Collaborate with technicians, pilots, engineers, and other team members to carry out modification and repair.
  • Support fleet upgrades and new technology integration, contributing to the ongoing evolution of aircraft systems and safety enhancements.
  • Perform other duties as required in support of flight operations and organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Helicopter maintenance experience
  • 5+ years of experience supporting the maintenance of aircraft
  • FAA A&P Certification

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Trade school or military training in aircraft maintenance
  • Robinson maintenance course
  • FAA inspection authorization certification
  • 8+ years of experience supporting the maintenance of aircraft
  • Avionics and wiring experience

Pay

Hourly Rate:

  • 2-5 years experience: $30-$42/hr.
  • 5+ years experience: $35-$58/hr.

The posted hourly rate reflects the potential base pay for this role, adjusted to account for varying geographic markets. Final compensation will be based on factors such as your location, job-related skills, experience, and internal alignment, including equity and benefits.
