Airframe and Powerplant Specialist

Requirements

• Education/Training: High School diploma required. Associate's Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in the required task area required.
• Broad working knowledge of FAA regulations, aircraft maintenance and inspection requirements.
• Knowledgeable in documenting maintenance actions in any of the following (USAF, USN and US Army) aircraft records to include digital maintenance data systems.
• Familiar with the installation of aerospace fasteners, rivets, nut plates etc.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required.
• Successful candidates must obtain minimum favorable Tier 1 personnel security investigation IAW Department of Defense Instruction 5200.46, DoD Investigative and Adjudicative Guidance for Issuing Common Access Card (CAC).

Skills

• Interpret technical manuals, work cards, blueprints, wire diagrams/schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Maintain shop supplies and perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Operate complicated shop tools and equipment as trained and assigned.
• Perform inventory control using logging, tagging, and organizing procedures.
• Maintain tool control and accountability.
• Adhere to company policies and safety programs.
