What You’ll Do
- Lead Project Delivery
- Support aviation projects from concept through construction, including airfield design, pavements, utilities, and supporting infrastructure
- Collaborate closely with project managers and technical leaders across RS&H’s aviation practice
- Oversee design efforts, ensure quality control, and support scope, schedule, and budget management
- Cook up plans, specifications, technical memoranda, and supporting documentation
- Grow Your Technical & Leadership Skills
- Apply FAA standards and aviation best practices to solve complex design challenges
- Develop technical skills and grow your ability to make independent technical decisions with guidance from senior mentors
- Take on Increasing Levels of Project Responsibility
- Take on increasing levels of project responsibility over time
- Grow Relationships & the Idaho Aviation Market
- Participate in client meetings and help maintain trusted-advisor relationships
- Contribute to proposals, interviews, and strategic growth initiatives
- Represent RS&H at local and regional aviation industry events
- Partner with regional leadership to expand RS&H’s aviation footprint in Idaho
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 7+ years of civil engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in aviation
- PE license in Idaho or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Strong understanding of aviation design fundamentals
- Experience preparing aviation plans, details, and technical specifications
- Ability to lead tasks or components of small to moderate projects
- Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office
- Experience leading project teams or coordinating multidisciplinary efforts
- Familiarity with FAA standards and airport design criteria
- Comfortable working directly with clients and stakeholders
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with an interest in growing a regional practice
- Collaborative mindset with a passion for mentorship and leadership development
