What You’ll Do

  • Lead Project Delivery
    • Support aviation projects from concept through construction, including airfield design, pavements, utilities, and supporting infrastructure
    • Collaborate closely with project managers and technical leaders across RS&H’s aviation practice
    • Oversee design efforts, ensure quality control, and support scope, schedule, and budget management
    • Cook up plans, specifications, technical memoranda, and supporting documentation
  • Grow Your Technical & Leadership Skills
    • Apply FAA standards and aviation best practices to solve complex design challenges
    • Develop technical skills and grow your ability to make independent technical decisions with guidance from senior mentors
  • Take on Increasing Levels of Project Responsibility
    • Take on increasing levels of project responsibility over time
  • Grow Relationships & the Idaho Aviation Market
    • Participate in client meetings and help maintain trusted-advisor relationships
    • Contribute to proposals, interviews, and strategic growth initiatives
    • Represent RS&H at local and regional aviation industry events
    • Partner with regional leadership to expand RS&H’s aviation footprint in Idaho

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 7+ years of civil engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in aviation
  • PE license in Idaho or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Strong understanding of aviation design fundamentals
  • Experience preparing aviation plans, details, and technical specifications
  • Ability to lead tasks or components of small to moderate projects
  • Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience leading project teams or coordinating multidisciplinary efforts
  • Familiarity with FAA standards and airport design criteria
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with an interest in growing a regional practice
  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for mentorship and leadership development
