Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning, design, and construction of airfield lighting and navigational aid projects
  • Perform electrical related design tasks or projects in support of project and design managers
  • Typical projects require preparation of bidding documents (plans & specifications) including lighting layout, power distribution, lighting controls, electrical facilities, airfield navigational aids, signage, coordination with other disciplines, quantity takeoffs, design reports, cost estimates, and construction scheduling
  • Perform, assist or oversee construction-related tasks including on-site construction observation and project engineering

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way, both in person and in writing
  • An attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, while remaining dedicated to teamwork
  • Minimum 5 years of aviation electrical engineering experience with demonstrated technical design of airfield ground lighting, navigational aids, lighting controls, and electrical infrastructure projects including electrical design engineering reports and specifications
  • Understanding and implementation of FAA Advisory Circulars and UFC criteria
  • Construction support, including review of RFIs and material submittals
  • Preparation of RFQs, field orders, and change orders
  • Field observation/site visits will be required as needed
  • Demonstrated skill and a working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Experience performing voltage drop, available fault current, and arc-flash calculations (plus)

Pay

$132,900.00 to $155,000.00
