About the role

DelMar Aerospace Corporation in Las Vegas, NV, is looking for talented personnel who can tackle tough challenges supporting manned and unmanned systems. This position is awaiting contract award. People are central to our business: we invest heavily to ensure our current and future employees are afforded every opportunity to enhance their skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Responsibilities

This position builds and maintains the squadron flying schedule for a B-52H unit. The scheduling load is driven by crew volume and by the coordination required across the squadron, wing scheduling and outside agencies. Expect frequent revision after publication.

  • Build the long-range and short-range flying schedule so aircrew, instructor, evaluator, supervisor and support positions are fully covered
  • Coordinate with Wing Scheduling, outside agencies and higher headquarters on exercise and special event scheduling, including RED FLAG, GREEN FLAG and Weapons School support taskings
  • Coordinate daily and weekly with squadron, group and wing leadership to facilitate flying operations
  • Determine flight, ground and simulator requirements for upgrade, initial qualification, requalification, transition, currency and continuation training based on syllabus requirements, student progression, weather and range availability
  • Coordinate with training officers, Aviation Resource Management, the Unit Deployment Manager and the Operations Officer to arrange the schedule against DO priorities
  • Update Patriot Excalibur (PEX) and locally developed database systems, and publish ground, academic, flying and simulator schedules
  • Track leave, TDY, medical appointments and other commitments, and deconflict crews against assigned sortie taskings
  • Obtain aircraft and equipment availability from maintenance and schedule crews accordingly
  • Schedule aircrews based on experience to mitigate Operational Risk Management
  • Work short-notice changes with the current mission commander or operations supervisor when a shift is not fully manned
  • Attend Special Use Airspace, Airspace Restrictions and Range Scheduling meetings for coordination and deconfliction
  • Produce the Flying Effectiveness Report, Flying Hour Program Report and Ready Aircrew Program inputs

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include an active SECRET clearance, or a previously held SECRET clearance that expired and was not revoked, and minimum two (2) years of experience working as a squadron aircrew scheduler and minimum two (2) years of experience with PEX or a similar proprietary scheduling program.

The Government may waive specific qualifications on a case-by-case basis where a candidate has the knowledge and skills to support the mission. Aircrew scheduling experience on a system other than PEX, and training or stan eval experience from another service, are examples.

Skills

U.S. citizenship is required, and an active SECRET security clearance, or a previously held SECRET clearance that expired and was not revoked, is necessary. Eligibility for access to Restricted Data is also required.

Benefits

Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, paid time off and 401(k). DelMar Aerospace offers a competitive salary, comprehensive insurance package, supplementary life insurance, and the ability to start planning for retirement through our 401k program with company match. Paid time off and paid holidays are also provided, along with a fun, energetic environment and a strong commitment to maintaining a work-life balance.

Pay and Schedule

Compensation is negotiable and commensurate with experience. The position is full-time, with core working hours of 1,880 hours per year across 47 weeks, normally eight hours per day, five days per week, as determined by the Contracting Officer's Representative. Duty hours may shift during exercise support and around holidays but will not exceed nine hours in a day. Changes are coordinated 48 hours in advance, and federal holidays are observed, along with AFGSC Family Days.
