AIRCRAFT WORKER

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• Overhaul, repair, and reassemble aircraft systems, including removing, replacing, installing, and aligning components according to technical manuals.
• Visually inspect components to diagnose issues and conduct pressure tests on systems to verify functionality after repairs are complete.
• Assist with flight line operations, including aircraft checkouts, inspecting for leaks, and standing fire guard during engine starts.
• Perform basic preservation duties, including corrosion control, minor lubrication, and conducting regular preservation inspections.
• Operate Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and use a variety of common and precision hand tools to complete maintenance tasks.
• Inspect, disassemble, reassemble, and test armament mounts such as bomb racks and missile launchers.
• Use technical manuals to look up parts and make precise entries into aircraft records to document all work accomplished.
• Obtain oil samples and remove filters from aircraft systems for off-site laboratory evaluation.
• Actively participate in and improve command programs for Quality, Safety, Foreign Object Damage (FOD), and tool control.

Pay

$32.46–$37.84 per hour
