GDIT has a great opportunity for an Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) Engineer at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), WA. This position requires a current and active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

About the Role

The ASE Engineer will primarily support the hardware family - Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE): Common Missile Warning System (CMWS) (AN/AAR-57) and Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM). The role requires strong communication skills within the military Aviation sector.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance operations support including screening and repairing electronic equipment, installing software in electronic equipment, and installation/de-installation of avionic electronic equipment on rotary wing vehicles.
  • Provide maintenance and repair services such as fault diagnosis, removal and replacement of line replaceable units (LRUs), Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), screening, repair, overhaul, refurbishment, retrograde, and installation of systems.
  • Offer customer support, calibration, and alignment for all C5ISR systems and associated support equipment within the scope of the task order.
  • Perform system repairs to return equipment to Full Operational Capability (FOC) or the U.S. Army’s 10/20 standard, following applicable technical manuals (TMs).
  • Deliver maintenance and sustainment support services to support the CECOM mission worldwide, both in peacetime and during contingency/wartime operations.
  • Conduct sustainment-level maintenance (less depot level, as defined by AR 750-1) in electronics and installation of C5ISR and electronic equipment and systems.

Requirements

  • Current and active Secret clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • BS and 2 years of experience or 6 years of experience without a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience with Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE): Common Missile Warning System (CMWS) (AN/AAR-57) and Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM).

Pay

The likely salary range for this position is $81,349 - $93,610, though actual compensation may vary based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.

  • Travel required: 25-50%.
  • Telecommuting options: Onsite.
