Aircraft Painter I

Job Description

Maintain aircraft interiors by preparing surfaces for paint application.

• Mask, sand, and prepare aircraft surfaces.
• Apply glazing and sealing compounds.
• Operate and maintain preparation and priming equipment.
• Mix paints and primers.
• Perform leading edge sealant work.
• Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies.
• Use personal protective equipment and ensure aircraft interior protection.
• Care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.
• Follow Paint shop standard practices.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
• Able to pass Pulmonary Function Test to obtain respirator certification.
• Computer literacy.
• Working knowledge of paint processes and products.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Able to climb ladders and stairs, perform close tolerance work, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must be computer literate.
• A working knowledge of paint processes and products.
