About the Role
Resicum International LLC is seeking experienced Aircraft Mechanic II personnel to support P-8A aircraft Organizational-Level Maintenance operations. This role involves performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, servicing, and modifications on P-8A aircraft. Mechanics must troubleshoot discrepancies, interpret technical documentation, prioritize workloads, and lead teams through complex maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on P-8A aircraft.
- Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, repair, servicing, and modifications.
- Maintain and repair P-8A airframe, structural components, flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot P-8A aircraft discrepancies using applicable technical manuals and authorized test equipment.
- Interpret P-8A technical publications, blueprints, manufacturer's manuals, and other technical documentation.
- Perform aircraft structural and sheet-metal repairs and modifications.
- Apply technical knowledge of P-8A airframe and powerplant systems to determine malfunctions.
- Restore aircraft systems and components to required operating condition.
- Use aircraft-specific tools and test equipment.
- Support Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC) and Estimated Cost of Damage (ECOD) preparation.
- Provide input regarding recommended Maintenance Work Order (MWO) changes.
- Prioritize maintenance workload to meet aircraft schedules.
- Lead teams through complex P-8A maintenance tasks when assigned.
- Inspect work performed by lower-level mechanics as authorized.
- Make required aircraft logbook and maintenance record entries.
- Support corrosion prevention and control.
- Participate in aircraft movement and emergency drills when directed.
- Perform all work in accordance with CNAFINST 4790.2 series, applicable technical manuals, technical directives, and local instructions.
Requirements
- Direct hands-on maintenance experience on P-8/P-8A aircraft (generic aircraft mechanic experience on other platforms does not satisfy this requirement).
- Experience performing Organizational-Level Maintenance on P-8/P-8A aircraft.
- Experience performing scheduled and unscheduled P-8/P-8A maintenance.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing P-8/P-8A aircraft systems.
- Experience interpreting P-8/P-8A technical publications and maintenance documentation.
- Capability to lead maintenance teams through complex P-8/P-8A maintenance tasks.
- Current U.S. Passport and DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Eligibility for required site access and CAC issuance.
- Aircraft maintenance experience appropriate to the Mechanic II skill level.
- Experience in aircraft mechanical maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and component replacement.
- Working knowledge of aircraft structures, sheet metal, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, powerplants, and mechanical systems.
- Basic knowledge of aircraft electrical theory.
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance tools and test equipment.
- Capability to troubleshoot moderate to complex aircraft maintenance problems.
- Capability to prioritize workload and meet maintenance schedules.
- Capability to make accurate aircraft logbook and maintenance record entries.
- Maintain all required aircraft maintenance qualifications and certifications (e.g., CDI/CDQAR, Plane Captain/Plane Handler, Tire and Wheel, Hydraulic Contamination, Vibration Analysis, APU/Engine Operator, Ordnance, Forklift).
