Aircraft Mechanic - AH64

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with other crewmembers on the assessment of each aircraft part.
• Plans on performing servicing duties to each aircraft.
• Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
• Reads and interprets manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
• Serves, repairs, and overhauls aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure airworthiness.
• Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.
• May be required to be licensed by Federal Aviation Administration.
• Serves engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Meets AR 95-20 qualifications.
• Participates in Hazardous Flight duties.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Technical or Military School Training preferred.
• Experience: Two years direct experience in aircraft maintenance or Military technical school with an Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) License required. Any combination of education/experience may be substituted for job requirements at the recommendation of the hiring manager and approval of the COO or higher.
