Aircraft Mech 1 C-12 Airforce Navy

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections, repairs, modifications, and installations on C-12 aircraft avionics, wiring, components and flight controls.
• Operates ground support equipment and flight line vehicles.
• Must be able to read, write, and interpret instructions, technical manuals and/or directives necessary for the accomplishment of job assignment.
• The Aircraft Mech I reports directly to the ACI Supervisors.
• The primary functions of an "Aircraft Mechanic I" include:
• Performing tasks as assigned /directed by Crew Team Leader, Lead man, Maintenance Coordinator, Maintenance Supervisor, and/or Site Manager in accordance with instructions, applicable technical data, manuals, and directives.
• Evaluating aircraft discrepancies to identify proper methods for repair.
• Identifying necessary parts, materials and tooling requirements to complete task.
• Utilizing manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, Maintenance Engineering Directives, schematics, drawings, blueprints, charts and other applicable publications to install, test, troubleshoot and ensure aircraft modifications are accomplished in a timely manner.
• Inspecting for corrosion, treating and repairing discrepancies.
• Performing touch up painting and applying decals and labels.
• Preparing aircraft components for paint.
• Complying with and following established standards of workmanship, safety, quality, and production.

Qualifications

• Airframe, mechanical and electrical experience – preferred.
• A&P License is preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level security clearance.

Additional KPIs

• Developed by the Capabilities Program Manager, Senior Lead Engineer and/or PMO management, subject to the requirements of the PMO and the business as a whole.
