About the role

Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of the Med-Trans fleet, specifically supporting the Leonardo 119 airframe. This role ensures timely, high-quality transportation services and care for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs, and provide regular status updates to the Lead Technician.
  • Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment; update equipment tracking logs, place replacement requests, and document part expenditures.
  • Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required, adhering to policies, procedures, and information security standards.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
  • Use appropriate communication methods to facilitate coordination between departments, vendors, and team members.
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health, public safety personnel, fellow AMTs, and the operations team.

Requirements

  • Leonardo 119 maintenance experience.
  • Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience, with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months.
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Valid State-issued Driver’s license.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
  • Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records, and maintenance support/planning.
  • Must live within an hour of the base.
  • Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
  • Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA Inspection Authorization Certification.
  • Related experience under CFR Part 135.
  • Autopilot maintenance experience.
  • Avionics and electrical repair experience.

Pay

Starting salary: $65,239 – $94,567 annually. Additional compensation includes a $2,080 IA stipend and a $12,500 sign-on bonus.
