Aircraft Maintenance Technician - RW

Immediate full-time opportunity in South Hill, VA for an A&P Base Mechanic specializing in Rotor Wing aircraft.

About the role

This Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) is responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet, specifically supporting the EC135 airframe. The role ensures timely, high-quality transportation services and care for patients while maintaining compliance with FAA regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs, and provide regular status updates to the Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks to ensure adequate stock of supplies and equipment; update equipment tracking logs, place replacement requests, and document part expenditures.
• Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required, adhering to policies, procedures, and information security standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
• Use appropriate communication methods to facilitate coordination between departments, vendors, and team members.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health, public safety personnel, fellow AMTs, and the operations team.

Requirements

• EC135 maintenance experience.
• Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience, with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• Valid State-issued Driver’s license.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
• Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records, and maintenance support and planning.
• Must live within an hour of the base.
• Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs and lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• FAA Inspection Authorization Certification.
• Related experience under CFR Part 135.
• Autopilot maintenance experience.
• Avionics and electrical repair experience.

Pay

Starting salary: $81,549 – $118,209 annually (including 25% Geo Modifier). Additional compensation includes a $2,080 IA stipend and a $12,500 sign-on bonus.
