About the role

Maintenance Technicians report to the Maintenance Supervisor and ensure compliance with procedures outlined in the manual, FAA Regulations, and manufacturer’s instructions. This role involves performing routine maintenance, major inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of aircraft systems and engines on HondaJet, Piper, TBM, Pilatus, LearJets, Beechjet, Citations, and other corporate aircraft. Responsibilities include component removal and reinstallation, operational checks, leak checks, and engine runs. The AMT uses sound judgment and technical aptitude to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequence, techniques, troubleshooting, and discrepancy resolution.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all repairs are accomplished using approved methods and techniques in accordance with manufacturer service manuals, Federal Aviation Regulations, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and other FAA-approved data.
• Plan and coordinate shop activities to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency.
• Complete all work in strict accordance with manufacturer maintenance and repair instructions and TITLE 14 CFR part 43.
• Exercise reasonable care to protect parts, sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and completed units against loss or damage.
• Ensure all applicable repair station forms are properly completed.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure shop-working areas are clean and orderly.
• Ensure proper tools and equipment are available, maintained in serviceable condition, and remove any unserviceable tools from service.
• Ensure proper handling and preservation of parts during the work process.
• Be thoroughly familiar with repair station manual requirements, FAA Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circulars, Manufacturer Service Letters/Bulletins, and engineering orders.
• Communicate with maintenance lead technicians regarding work progress.
• Perform airframe and powerplant repairs, inspections, and modifications.
• Remove and disassemble defective parts, assemble and install replacement parts, and test systems.
• Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
• Ensure all discrepancies are signed off with complete information, such as part numbers, maintenance manual, ATA, and Chapter.
• Display and promote a positive attitude toward work and other employees.
• Use experience and technical expertise to assist in meeting completion and production schedules while maintaining expected quality.
• Ensure all safety precautions are taken and protection devices are properly used to reduce injury and health risks.
• Identify and address employee problems and concerns; escalate to management if necessary.
• Have all work inspected by an appropriately rated inspector upon completion of each task (except for off-site maintenance).
• Participate with management to strategize and implement new maintenance tactics.
• Provide leadership and communication to subordinates and employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (Preferred).
• Five or more years of demonstrated experience in aircraft maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Strong understanding of 135 and 145 repair station operations/regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening test.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
