Responsibilities

  • Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
  • Removal and installation of panels and components.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
  • De-fueling aircraft, Engine removal/installations.
  • Operating ground support equipment.
  • Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
  • Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
  • Reporting progress and open items to the Lead Mechanic.
  • Proper tagging of Aircraft components, parts, and panels.
  • Communicating effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
  • Performing job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Airframe and Powerplant License required.
  • A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport preferred.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation to work daily.
  • Understanding and implementing regulations and guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks in a hangar environment.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $29 - $55. Additional compensation includes a shift differential and semi-annual discretionary bonuses.

Schedule

Rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays are common. Weekly competitive pay is provided.
