About the role

The Google Aviation team focuses on risk management, humility, standards, collaboration, and teamwork. The Aircraft Captain and Project Manager role involves managing complex and dynamic aircraft operations globally, leading teams to meet business demands, and collaborating on aviation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute domestic and international trips as Pilot In Command (PIC).
  • Operate aircraft safely and consistently according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines.
  • Engage with and actively participate in risk management and security programs to reduce and mitigate risks.
  • Lead and participate in aviation projects of varying size, scope, and complexity that deliver significant impact to the team and our users.

Requirements

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP).
  • FAA First Class Medical and FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
  • A valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Experience with 3,000 hours of flight time, including 1,000 hours in jet, with international operations in GV or GVI.
  • Ability to report to the Bay Area within 48 hours of assignments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3 years of experience as a pilot in command for corporations.
  • Aviation-related project management experience in areas like SMS, FOQA, security, international operations, and AI literacy and workflow integration.
  • Ability to think creatively and bring innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with situational awareness and professionalism.

  • Maternity Leave (Short-Term Disability + Baby Bonding): 28-30 weeks.
  • Baby Bonding Leave: 18 weeks.
  • Holidays: 13 paid days per year.

Pay

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $222,000 - $322,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.

Hybrid workplace includes remote roles.
