Air Logistics Senior Manager - SCK Express Operations

About the role

The Air Logistics Senior Manager Express Operations will oversee warehouse and airport ramp operations, collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure efficient handling of Express packages. This role involves managing a team, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining compliance with airport regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, lead, and control staff to foster a collaborative and safe work environment.
• Develop and mentor next-level leaders and managers.
• Supervise staff to meet business objectives and achieve performance goals aligned with Service Level Agreements.
• Ensure adherence to safety rules and standards by leading team members to follow safety protocols.
• Participate in recruitment activities, interview candidates, and make hiring decisions.
• Assist in employee relations and conflict resolution, prepare performance appraisals, and provide input for counseling and terminations.
• Demonstrate diligence to comply with airport, TSA, and USCBP regulations and FAA requirements.
• Prepare operational reports, including weekly and monthly data, and handle injury and damage reports as needed.
• Maintain records and appointments necessary for airport employment, such as badge appointments and government-required meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or equivalent work experience.
• 8-10 years of leadership and management experience in warehousing, logistics, or related fields.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to train and develop personnel.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.

Preferred Skills

• Airline/Logistics/Transportation experience.
• Interpersonal skills (customer service, dependability).
• Proficiency in software and computer programs (MS Office).
