About the role

AIT’s International Air Gateway Agent manages and operates the AIT Gateway functionality, serving as the liaison between US & overseas AIT stations and global agent providers for air freight transiting through the gateway.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all Console pre-bookings, schedule, and post on CargoWise.
  • Obtain and maintain scheduled console rates.
  • Book all B2B requests from stations, vertical teams, and account managers.
  • Obtain all pricing requests from carriers by stations, vertical teams, and account managers.
  • Report cargo received at the dock to all relevant stations, teams, and managers (scan and email warehouse receipts).
  • Process all MAWBs, consoles, and B2B shipments; ensure HAWBs link to a console or B2B master with necessary destination-agent approval.
  • Manage the pre-screening process (once CCSF is running) in conjunction with CCSF facilities to ensure timely and accurate screening.
  • Transfer all consoles and B2B MAWBs to the airline.
  • Upload all key milestone compliances for the perfect shipment process, including tracking and updating CargoWise for confirmed onboard and destination arrivals.
  • Manage the station CSF process to ensure inbound shipments are transferred within required timeframes by Customs Gateway team for proper clearance and closure before export.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on business demands.

Skills

  • High School diploma and/or GED required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ transportation industry experience in export/import operations.
  • Previous work experience in TSA, ITAR, and Dangerous Goods regulations preferred.
  • CargoWise experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of working within government vertical strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizing skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment.

Pay

The wage range for this position is $30.50–$43.00 per hour and may vary based on geography, knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
