Air Export Agent

Scope of Position

Aid the Manager and Supervisor in managing the Air Export Department, ensuring timely and efficient movement of freight. Provide exceptional customer service and prepare various documents for international transportation.

• Coordinate and negotiate rates with contracted vendors for securing space and services.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing to clients and vendors.
• Enter data accurately and promptly into the operating system.
• Communicate with customers to arrange international export shipments, adhering to customer service standards.
• Maintain compliance with internal and external regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

Support the Supervisor in reviewing and updating operational reports, working with the team to update event codes. Audit files and work with the team to meet operational process standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers, evaluating them according to company policy and developing corrective action plans if necessary.

• Monitor shipment reports to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work with the team to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Proactively manage finances by maintaining and monitoring accounts payable within 30 days, ensuring adherence to company credit procedures and utilizing them effectively.
• Resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
• Implement productivity tools and suggest system/process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2 years of industry-specific qualification (country-specific).
• Good market and product knowledge.
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, communicate clearly and concisely to achieve positive results.
• Proactive, strong organizational skills.
• Good computer skills (Excel, Word).
• Hazardous Materials certification (preferred).
• Fluency in English.
