Air Emissions Testing Technician

Transport testing equipment using a company vehicle to various industrial and manufacturing sites. Set up and break down testing equipment on site. Record data and collect samples during testing procedures. Assist engineers in conducting air quality testing. Calibrate, clean, and troubleshoot testing equipment during office hours. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including shaving facial hair for respirator use and working at heights between 75-200 feet.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Chemistry is required; other degrees may be considered.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with tools and equipment.
• Entry-level position suitable for individuals with a passion for hands-on work.

Qualifications

• Degrees in Geology or related fields are preferred.
• A strong interest in building and using hands-on skills is beneficial.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment

This position involves 75% fieldwork at refineries and other industrial and manufacturing facilities, with 25% office work. Fieldwork includes testing EPA emissions, while office work focuses on equipment calibration, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Employees are provided with a company vehicle for travel to and from job sites. Per diem and lodging are covered when traveling. Pay

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
