Job Responsibilities
- Air Emissions & Technical Analysis
- Develop and support air emissions inventories, including GHG and criteria air contaminants
- Apply established regulatory methodologies and emissions factors in line with Canadian frameworks (e.g., TIER, OBPS, NPRI)
- Perform QA/QC checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of emissions calculations and reporting outputs
- Interpret and analyze emissions data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities
- Digital Implementation & Data Integration
- Support the configuration and implementation of digital platforms such as Enablon AQS and Metrics
- Translate emissions calculation methodologies into system-based workflows and logic
- Validate system outputs against manual calculations and regulatory requirements
- Assist in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and ongoing optimization of digital tools
- Data Management & Automation
- Develop standardized templates, tools, and dashboards to support emissions reporting and analysis
- Implement automated workflows and data pipelines to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes
- Design and maintain robust data quality controls and validation checks
- Client Engagement & Project Delivery
- Support client engagements by delivering high-quality technical and digital solutions within established timelines
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including technical, digital, and regulatory experts
- Communicate technical findings, methodologies, and results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the team
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 3–5+ years of experience in air emissions or GHG data within the Canadian oil & gas sector
- Proven experience with emissions calculations and regulatory frameworks (e.g., TIER, OBPS, NPRI)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong data management capabilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Experience supporting Canadian oil & gas clients
- Familiarity with datasets and systems such as Petrinex, SCADA, LDAR, or laboratory data
- Experience with Enablon or similar environmental data management platforms
- Working knowledge of Python, SQL, or business intelligence tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $95k - $120k.
- Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
