As a Production Technician, you will operate and set up friction manufacturing equipment across areas such as compound, cure press, bagger, preform, high volume finish line, inspector, press unloader, and other assigned positions. You’ll work alongside a team of problem-solvers dedicated to making a tangible impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety rules and using required PPE daily; keep work area clean and healthy.
• Inspect all equipment prior to use and report discrepancies immediately.
• Inspect product for quality; investigate and correct issues, notifying leadership as needed.
• Accurately record scrap data and enter computer data for job tickets, production logs, etc.
• Follow written and verbal work instructions, standard work requirements, and directions from leadership.
• Maintain 5S Standards and machine standard condition.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete PMs and autonomous maintenance as required.
• Produce required daily work quantity, adjusting pace to meet deadlines and schedules.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned, aligned with company values.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certification.
• Successful completion of basic skills test, drug screens, background screens, and physical demands testing.
• Solid reading, writing, and mathematics skills, including decimals and fractions.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and interpret precise measuring instruments.
• Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.

Physical Demands

• Repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs. (up to 1,200 times in an 8-hour shift).
• Walking, standing, bending, stooping, twisting, carrying, and overhead movement.
• Ability to work in a heated environment and climb stairs multiple times per day.
• Ability to work at heights.
