AIDE - MONITOR

Come join our team! As a school bus monitor, you will assist the driver with the safe management of students onboard the vehicle. This may include assisting students as they enter and exit the vehicle, performing safety checks, leading emergency evacuations, and communicating behavior issues with parents and management, among other duties. Candidates must have experience working with children and undergo pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver in monitoring children to and from school on established routes
• Help students enter and exit the vehicle safely
• Perform safety checks
• Lead emergency evacuations
• Communicate student behavior issues with parents and management
• Handle vehicle and student emergencies in a calm, appropriate manner

Requirements

• Good verbal communication skills
• At least 19 years old
• Ability to work with people in a positive manner and manage student behavior non-confrontationally
• Pass a background check, drug screen, and physical performance test
• Flexibility with work schedule
• Eligible to work in the US without restrictions

Starting salary: $18.54/hour

Schedule

• Part-time, 20-25 hours per week
• Monday-Friday
• School year: September through June
