Safety Specialist

Aquatech is seeking a full-time Safety Specialist to join our Canonsburg, PA team. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate on the Safety Committee
• Develop, review, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs
• Conduct routine site safety inspections, observations, and audits
• Provide site-specific safety training and support employees' understanding of safety requirements
• Inspect, monitor, and support the maintenance of safety equipment and other safety-related systems
• Support incident investigations, including documentation, review, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
• Identify trends, evaluate incident data, and recommend improvements to reduce risk
• Communicate regularly with client representatives, project teams, site leadership, and Aquatech corporate management
• Support safety compliance efforts across multiple project locations and offices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health and Safety
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
• One (1) or more years of occupational safety experience, preferably in construction, industrial, or general industry environments
• OSHA Authorized Trainer in Construction or General Industry
• BCSP credentials such as STS, CHST, OHST, ASP, GSP, or CSP
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• Valid Passport

• Accessing elevated work areas and scaffolding
• Entering confined spaces where required
