Safety Specialist
Aquatech is seeking a full-time Safety Specialist to join our Canonsburg, PA team. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Participate on the Safety Committee
- Develop, review, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs
- Conduct routine site safety inspections, observations, and audits
- Provide site-specific safety training and support employees' understanding of safety requirements
- Inspect, monitor, and support the maintenance of safety equipment and other safety-related systems
- Support incident investigations, including documentation, review, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
- Identify trends, evaluate incident data, and recommend improvements to reduce risk
- Communicate regularly with client representatives, project teams, site leadership, and Aquatech corporate management
- Support safety compliance efforts across multiple project locations and offices

- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively in field and office environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health and Safety
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
- One (1) or more years of occupational safety experience, preferably in construction, industrial, or general industry environments
- OSHA Authorized Trainer in Construction or General Industry
- BCSP credentials such as STS, CHST, OHST, ASP, GSP, or CSP
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- Valid Passport
