AIC - Retail Lead

Responsibilities

• Serve as designated Agent in Charge (AIC) per Illinois state cannabis regulations during assigned shifts
• Support Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with daily retail operations
• Oversee store opening and closing procedures, including keyholder responsibilities
• Monitor and coach Sales Associates on service standards, sales techniques, and compliance procedures
• Affiliate with inventory control, receiving deliveries, product merchandising, and Metrc tracking
• Handle customer concerns and escalations professionally, using sound judgment
• Support promotional activities and coupon code validation
• Conduct routine compliance checks, bag checks, and staff checkouts as required
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, state regulations, and standard operating procedures
• Complete assigned operational tasks and other duties as directed by store leadership

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cannabis retail or related customer service experience required
• Previous keyholder or shift lead experience strongly preferred but not required
• Working knowledge of Illinois cannabis compliance regulations preferred
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Dutchie POS or other retail management platforms
• Cash handling experience and comfort working in fast-paced retail environments
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Illinois cannabis certifications, Agent ID, background checks, and credentials per state law
