Position Summary

Volunteers for Democracy's Future (V4DF) is seeking a volunteer AI Video Production Specialist with experience using HeyGen to help expand our digital communications and educational outreach.

We have already invested in a HeyGen Team account, developed a custom avatar, established our brand identity, and created a growing library of scripts and visual assets. We're looking for someone who can help us take our AI video production to the next level by creating polished, professional, and engaging videos that educate, inspire, and recruit volunteers.

This is not a video editing role from scratch. Instead, you'll work within our existing communications framework to optimize our HeyGen workflow, create reusable video templates, improve production quality, and help us efficiently produce consistent, high-quality content for social media, our website, presentations, and volunteer outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Create and optimize reusable video templates within the HeyGen platform.
  • Improve production quality by refining scripts and visual assets.
  • Help build a sustainable, repeatable video production process by documenting best practices and workflows.
  • Collaborate with V4DF's leadership team to ensure all videos align with our mission and messaging.
  • Teach and mentor others within the organization on how to use HeyGen effectively.

Requirements

  • Experience using HeyGen and other AI video tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Passion for AI-powered storytelling and mission-driven organizations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of video production principles and storytelling techniques.

Qualifications

  • College degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Media Studies, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in video production or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills

  • Strong proficiency in HeyGen and similar AI video creation tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail.
