About the role

Founded by two award-winning teachers, MCP leads a movement of educators implementing a self-paced, mastery-based instructional model leveraging technology for human connection, authentic learning, and social-emotional growth. They have reached over 100,000+ teachers through their free online course in 150+ countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect the video generation pipeline end-to-end (lessons-as-code, scene specs, asset manifests, timing maps).
• Ship multiple substantial features per week using AI and agentic coding.
• Build multi-agent production workflow (LangGraph or equivalent) with specialist agents.
• Engineer video generation pipeline (layout engines, LaTeX/KaTeX, programmatic diagrams, charts, animations, TTS narration).
• Build ground-truth quality system (golden datasets, rubric-based scoring, LLM/VLM-as-judge evaluators).
• Architect resilient, high-scale media infrastructure (render queues, job orchestration, transcoding, HLS).
• Raise the bar for the team through code reviews, design docs, and agent skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• AI-native: Expert in continuous multi-session development with Claude Code/OpenAI Codex, prompt engineering, context engineering, Spec-Driven Development.
• Backend AI orchestration: Experience with LangGraph, Python, TypeScript, durable execution, structured outputs, human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
• Programmatic media: Deep experience with programmatic animation frameworks (Manim, Remotion/Motion Canvas) and FFmpeg fundamentals.
• TTS and audio: Understanding of TTS model trade-offs, SSML, pronunciation lexicons, forced alignment, loudness standards.
• Quality measurement: Build golden datasets and calibrated judges before scaling generation; combine deterministic checks with AI evaluation.
• Self-directed: Thrive in small, high-autonomy teams; own problems end-to-end; write clearly.
• Continuous learner: Leverage latest AI developments; motivated by MCP’s mission.
• Mission-driven: Motivated to empower others and make a real difference in education.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $170,000-$200,000 per year gross.
• Employer-sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance.
